This week at a glance

The redesigned checkout went live for every customer on Tuesday, and payment retries now recover most transactions that used to fail outright — the two together account for most of the week. Push notifications are in QA and on track for next week. One item is waiting on your side: the staging deploy needs credentials from your IT team.

The engine

From raw activity to a report you'd actually send.

The first four steps are setup, and you do them once. The last three are what happens every reporting period, without you.

Failed card payments now retry automatically, so fewer customers get stuck at checkout.

PROJ-201 · chore: add zod validation to checkout form

Checkout now catches invalid details earlier, reducing failed orders.

Scheduling

Set it once, per project. Every cycle runs itself.

Each project carries its own cadence, day, time and reporting window — so a weekly build and a monthly retainer for the same client never have to share a schedule. Reports are generated automatically and sent intentionally.

  • A cadence per project, not one per client
  • The exact day and time each report is built
  • Run in the client's timezone, not yours

Review & approval

Generated automatically. Sent only when you say so.

Every report stops at draft. Nothing reaches a client until someone on your team approves it.

  1. 01 · Draft

    Yours to edit

Edit any section, or regenerate just one. A section you have edited is kept when the rest is regenerated.

  2. 02 · Approved

    Frozen and versioned

Approval freezes the text and saves it as a version, with who approved it and when. Reopen it to change anything.

  3. 03 · Sent

    Delivered, and tracked

Emailed to the client’s recipients, or shared as a link you can revoke. Delivery and views are recorded.

FAQ

Answers before you ask.

Everything about reports, credits, templates, scheduling and billing.

Week/scribe connects to your project tools, reads the activity for a chosen client and period, groups related work, translates technical activity into client-friendly language, applies your template and creates a report draft for review.

Week/scribe works with Jira, Linear, Zoho Projects, GitHub, GitLab, Asana, ClickUp and Trello. You connect a workspace once and Week/scribe reads the work on its reporting schedule.

Each generated report draft counts as one report against your monthly report allowance. Reports are recurring monthly usage and reset with your billing period.

Regenerating produces a fresh draft from the latest activity. Depending on your plan, a regeneration may consume an additional report from your monthly allowance.

You upload an existing report and Week/scribe can analyze its structure — sections, hierarchy, tables, typography and formatting — and turn it into an editable template. It does not promise pixel-perfect reproduction.

No. Template imports are setup-oriented usage. They are provided as annual plan allowances or purchased credits and do not reset every month.

Yes. You can build reusable templates and control structure, tone, detail, standing instructions, branding and typography. Saving a template does not consume a template-import credit.

Yes. Cadence is set per project, not per client: each one carries its own frequency, day, time, timezone and reporting window, so two projects for the same client can run on different days. The default action creates a draft for review.

Yes. The default workflow generates a draft that moves through review, edit and approval before anything is sent. Reports are generated automatically and sent intentionally.

Yes. When you reach your client capacity you can add recurring client add-ons instead of moving to a larger plan.

Yes. Projects are recurring workspace capacity and can be added as recurring add-ons on top of your base subscription.

Recurring add-on capacity is included in your next renewal total and shown clearly. You can remove add-ons before renewal — recurring costs are never hidden.

Scheduled generation creates the report according to your configuration. The default workflow creates a draft for review rather than silently sending it.

Yes. You can invite members for review according to your plan, with roles such as Admin, Project Manager, Account Manager and Reviewer.

You can add report credits as an add-on to extend capacity for the period without upgrading your whole plan.

Yes. Enterprise offers custom integrations, custom clients and projects, usage-based reporting and template imports, API access, SSO, advanced security and dedicated support. Talk to us for pricing.
