Who we are
WeekScribe is operated by [ENTITY], [ADDRESS] ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data we handle when you visit weekscribe.in or use the WeekScribe dashboard, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Account details
Your name, email address, the organisation and workspaces you create, and the people you invite. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google.
Sign-in and security data
When you use the dashboard at admin.weekscribe.in, we set cookies that keep you signed in. For each session and in our audit log we record your browser's user agent and a hashed form of your IP address, so we can show your active sessions and investigate misuse.
Data from tools you connect
When you connect a tool such as Jira, Linear or Zoho Projects, we read project activity from it: issue titles and descriptions, statuses, comments, assignees and dates. We only read what the access you grant allows.
Reports and templates
The reports, templates, logos and brand settings you create or upload, and the client contacts you send reports to.
Billing
Your plan, invoices and billing contact. Card details are collected and held by our payment provider; we never see full card numbers.
Website analytics
Page views and referrers on this website, only if you accept analytics. See the cookie policy.
How we use it
- To run the service: sync activity, draft reports, deliver them on your schedule.
- To sign you in and keep your account secure.
- To bill you for your plan.
- To answer support requests and tell you about changes to the service.
- To understand which pages of this website are useful, if you allowed analytics.
AI processing
To draft a report, we send the relevant project activity and your template instructions to a language model provider listed below. Which provider is used depends on how the service is configured. These providers process the data under their API terms to return a draft to us.
Drafts are suggestions. Someone on your team reviews and approves every report before it is sent.
Legal bases
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we process personal data with your consent or for legitimate uses the Act allows, such as providing a service you asked for.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interest in running and improving the service, and your consent for website analytics.
Sharing and sub-processors
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the providers that help us run WeekScribe, under contracts that limit their use of it, and when the law requires us to.

International transfers
Some providers process data outside India and outside your own country. Where the GDPR applies, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard for those transfers.
Retention
We keep account and report data while your account is open. After you close it, we delete it within [RETENTION_PERIOD], except where we must keep records such as invoices for longer by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
- give you a summary or copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- correct or complete it;
- delete it;
- withdraw a consent you gave;
- nominate someone to exercise these rights for you;
- restrict or object to certain processing, or move your data to another service (GDPR).
Email contact@weekscribe.in. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
Grievance officer
Complaints about how we handle personal data can be sent to our grievance officer, [GRIEVANCE_OFFICER], at contact@weekscribe.in. We will respond within the time the law requires. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India or, in the EU or UK, to your local data protection authority.
